October 1955, the last night of the SS Aurelia's crossing to New York. During the Captain's Farewell Gala the ship's owner is found dead in his suite and the famous Aurelia Star sapphire is gone. Every guest plays a passenger or crew member with a secret, three personal goals and clues to trade, and there are two killers aboard. How a murder mystery party kit works

A party kit turns your living room into the scene of a crime. Every guest is handed a character: a name, a costume idea, a secret they would rather keep and a handful of personal goals to score points. Nobody knows who the murderer is, except the murderer.

It is a role-playing game, not a puzzle you solve alone. Guests introduce themselves in character, swap rumours, bluff, bargain for clues and slowly piece together a three-part case. One person hosts: the host reads the narration, hands out the evidence cards and reveals each answer when its round ends, so the story keeps moving and nobody is left out.

Every kit is a PDF download. Print the pages you need or send each guest only their own file. Each kit includes the same case in three sizes for small and large groups, and every file comes in two designs: full colour for screens and colour printers, and a printer-friendly design that prints well in black and white and saves ink. Nothing to assemble and nothing to ship.
