The night before Lila's wedding at a Napa Valley vineyard, her father is found dead at the foot of a ladder just before his toast. It looks like an accident, but his last text message does not sound like him. Every guest plays a member of the wedding party or staff with a secret, three personal goals and a phone full of clues. One purchase gives you the same case in three sizes: Mini for 4–6 guests, Classic for 6–9 and Grand for 10–20.
Every size in one download set: the rehearsal dinner for 4–6, 6–9 or 10–20 guests.
Colour or printer-friendly files, US Letter and A4, instant download.
One host, phones in the bowl: the host runs the rounds and holds the phone cards.

Who comes to dinner in each size
Mini seats the planner, the bride, the sommelier, the mother of the bride, the photographer and the venue manager: enough to read the group chat, the keypad and the photos. Classic adds the groom, the best man and the maid of honor. Grand fills the tent with twenty guests, including an ex nobody invited, a grandmother who misses nothing and a blogger who films everything.
What is a murder mystery party kit?
Murder at the Vineyard Wedding is a role-playing murder mystery party game for the modern age. It is the Friday night rehearsal dinner at a Napa Valley estate, the night before the wedding. Just before the father of the bride gives his toast, he is found dead at the foot of a ladder in the barrel room.
Each guest plays someone from the wedding: the bride, the best man, the sommelier, the photographer, an uninvited ex and more. You give a one-line toast, keep a secret, chase three personal goals and trade clues. Together you solve a three-part case: whether the dead man really wrote his last text, how the accident was staged, and who did it and why.
It plays fast and loud, with toasts, phones and a bowl in the middle of the table. A good choice for a birthday, a bachelorette or a group that already knows each other well. Plan 90 minutes to 2.5 hours.
What is in the kit
Host Guide from cocktail hour to the final toast, plus a sealed solution file.
20 wedding-party files, each with a one-line toast to read in Round 1.
12 evidence cards and 7 phone cards: group chat, keypad log, photographs, bank statement and a wine-list code.
Party Extras: name tags, five award certificates, estate signs and a rehearsal-dinner menu card.
How the evening runs
Round 1 · Cocktail Hour (15 min). Every guest gives their one-line toast, mingles and reads their first page.
Round 2 · The Rehearsal Dinner (25 min). The father of the bride is found. Clues are traded and the first question of the case is answered.
Round 3 · Last Dance (30 min). Phones go face down in a bowl, the lights drop and the group chat, photographs and keypad log come out. Second answer.
Round 4 · The Toast (20 min). Everyone votes for the killer and the host opens the solution file.
Scoring and awards (10 min). Add up the points and hand out awards such as Best Dressed and Best Toast.
The rules that make it fun
Toasts first. Round 1 opens with every guest standing up to give the one-line toast printed on their page.
Peek, hush, text. Peek at a guest's phone card, refuse one question, or pass a one-line text that must be answered truthfully.
The truth rule. Everyone may bluff about their secret, but only the killer may lie about what their clue pages say.
Last dance. In Round 3 every phone goes face down in a bowl, the lights drop and the group chat is read aloud.

Questions
Do I get all three sizes?
Yes. One purchase includes Mini, Classic and Grand of Murder at the Vineyard Wedding, as separate downloads, each in a colour and a printer-friendly design.
Can the host play too?
No. The host reads the narration, hands out the cards and keeps the solution file closed until the vote, so everyone else can play.
Is it good for a bachelorette or a real rehearsal dinner?
Yes, as long as the couple is happy to laugh about a murder at their wedding. Nothing in the story is about them, and the victim is the bride's fictional father.
Do guests use their real phones?
No. The clues are printed phone cards. Real phones only go into the bowl in Round 3 so everyone looks up from their screens.
What is the bonus puzzle?
A note on the wine list written in a letter-shift code. The card explains the shift, and solving it is worth 2 points.
Can I get a refund?
Because the file is delivered instantly, you agree before payment that the download starts immediately and that you lose the right of withdrawal. If a file is broken or does not open, write to support@forgottenmystery.com and we will fix it or refund you.
