Forgotten Mystery: Murder Case
Solve cold case files on the site you are on right now.
You are handed a cold case file and given everything inside it: the police report, the crime scene examination, forensic results, bank records, camera timestamps and the interrogation transcripts of every suspect. You move between the tabs and hold statements against evidence, because one suspect gets the time wrong and another knows a detail they were never told. When you are ready you name the killer, and the game walks you through the full solution. The first case is free in your browser, no account needed. The app carries two free cases and plays offline.

Mysteryic: Murder Sudoku Game
Murder mystery meets sudoku.
You rebuild the floor plan as it stood at the moment of the murder. A grid, a group of suspects, a list of clues. Each suspect occupies exactly one square, and no two share a row or a column. The clues give you positions: the clerk was not by the window, the doctor stood directly left of the gardener. Cross off what you have ruled out, and when everyone has a place only one square is left, the one the killer was standing on. A thousand cases across forty chapters, eighteen languages, free and fully offline.

Murder OX: Mystery Puzzle Game
True or false? Mark it, and the suspects drop away.
You get a table and a handful of statements. For each one you make a single call: true (O) or false (X). Every mark closes a possibility, and every closed possibility opens the next one on its own. No long text, no files to read, pure logic. A case takes two minutes, so it plays in a queue or one-handed on the way home.

Interrogation Room: Murder
Question the suspects, catch them in a lie, find the culprit.
You sit across from the suspect and, each turn, choose your question from a list. Their answers go into your notebook. Come back to the same subject later and say something different, and the contradiction is out in the open. You can build the evidence into your question and corner them with their own words. But their patience runs out: push with the wrong questions and they shut down, and you start the case over.

Detective Grid: Clue Puzzle
Flip cards, earn clues, eliminate suspects one at a time.
In front of you is a grid of face-down cards, and behind each one is a suspect and a clue about them. You start from the single revealed card and decide, based on its clue, which card to turn next: the three on the left are innocent, the culprit is not in this column. Every new card sets up your next move, and flipping the wrong one costs you a life. Nothing is told to you outside the grid, not even how many killers there are. The daily case is free in your browser, and the episode mode runs on iPhone.

Braino: Word Board Logic Games
A hundred puzzles in one app, with no ads and no internet.
Not a murder case this time, just thinking for its own sake. One app holds a hundred separate games: word puzzles, board classics like chess and backgammon, Japanese logic grids, number games and lateral-thinking teasers. Everything runs on the device, so it works on a plane or underground with no connection at all, and no advertisement interrupts a puzzle. Pick a game from the shelf, play it as long as you like and move on to the next one.
Questions About Our Free Detective Games
Are these murder mystery games really free?
Yes. Every game on this page is free to start and most are free from beginning to end. Forgotten Mystery gives you the first case free in your browser and two free cases in the app. Mysteryic, Detective Grid, Interrogation Room, Murder OX and Braino are free to play. We never ask for a card before you have played.
Can I play these detective games offline?
The phone versions work without a connection. Forgotten Mystery, Mysteryic and Braino all keep running on a plane or underground, because the cases and puzzles live on the device. The browser versions need an internet connection to load, but nothing is streamed while you play.
Do I need to download anything to play in my browser?
No. Forgotten Mystery, Mysteryic, Detective Grid and Murder OX all run in a normal browser tab with no download and no sign-up. Open the page and the case starts.
Can these be played as party games with friends?
Yes, and many people do. Put the phone or laptop in the middle of the table, read the case file out loud, let everyone defend a different suspect and make the accusation as a group. Forgotten Mystery and Interrogation Room work particularly well this way.
Are the puzzles solvable by logic, or do I have to guess?
Every case has one answer you can reach by reasoning alone. The contradiction is always somewhere in the evidence you have been given. If you have to guess, we consider that a mistake in the puzzle, not in the player.
Which game should I start with?
If you want a full case file to read and pick apart, start with Forgotten Mystery. If you would rather have a short logic puzzle, try Murder OX or Mysteryic. Braino is the one to pick when you want a hundred word and board puzzles with no story at all.
