Each printable murder mystery game is a complete cold case file: police reports, witness statements, phone and bank records, photos and maps. Nothing is highlighted and some of it is a red herring. Work through it alone, as a couple or as a murder mystery party game for up to six, then open the sealed envelopes to check your answers.

How a printable murder mystery case file works

You print the case file and spread the documents on the table. There is no script and nobody plays a character, so there is nothing to rehearse and no host who already knows the answer. Everybody investigates.

Every case asks three questions that build on each other. When your group agrees on an answer, you open the matching envelope: A and B confirm your reasoning and add new evidence, C holds the full solution. Print the envelopes without reading them and seal them before you start.

A case takes two to three hours and suits ages 16 and up. Each PDF comes in a full-colour edition for tablets and colour printers and a printer-friendly edition that saves ink.
